It is scientifically proven that you usually are as creative as the height of the ceiling that hovers over you. If you want to brainstorm, do so in the open air, but if you want to concentrate on the nitty gritty, crawl inside a box and buckle down. I personally need to move to get the creative juices flowing. I brainstorm with my whole body and dance with my sketchbook.

Graphic design is a collection of messages, audiences, typefaces, images, papers, inks, emotions, and wit all choreographed into one cohesive composition of visual communication. As a dancer I was taught that the person in the back of the stage was just as important as the one in the spotlight, and I find it true for design as well. The details are what make design spectacular. And every little aspect of design has an effect on the final presentation.

I strive to reach the person in the back of the theater, the passerby on the street, the one who was falling asleep. Well designed communications should wake the audience up and push them to sit on the edge of their seat.
